Resolutions.
My first post of the new year! I know I'm late with the resolutions and posting but honestly? I've not had a clue what to talk about or what to tell you guys since my last post. Which I would like to say thank you. The support I have received from that post has been incredible, from twitter and through people getting in touch.
Also Jill Mansell and Carole Matthews commented on my tweet!!! I tried so hard not to fan girl but argggggggg.
Moving on! It's the new year and comes with the new year is often the resolutions that we vow to keep but after a week or a month we eventually break and end up disregarding completely. I for one are guilty of this, every year I made resolutions or goals into what I am determined to keep.
Last year's resolutions were:
1) To write in a diary every day, that lasted till February 26th.
2) To not buy any books until I get my TBR pile down, I lasted a week on that.
3) Get into uni. Which I managed.
As far as resolutions go I am pretty crap at keeping them. However I think given my crappy resolutions of last year, I think I didn't do too bad. For starters I may not of kept to my 'vows' but I did however, get into uni, read lots of marvellous books and started a blog. Which is something I did not plan at all! Creating this blog was a spur of moment kind of thing, I did just have a bottle of wine and got paid that week and my friend had told me I had a story to tell. Blogging just somehow seemed right. Anyway moving on!
My resolutions for this year are:
1) To write in a diary everyday. (Haven't missed a date yet.)
2) To not buy any more books. (I lasted till the 7th oops)
3) Continue to blog.
4) Make it through 1st year.
Resolutions are not something that should make you feel trapped, but instead allow you to grow as a person. They should encourage you to do the things you want to do and give you the motivation to seek out each day as it comes. For me I cannot wait to see what this year brings. Last year I went from being a brunette, to purple, to red and now I'm an accidental ginger but I'm just gonna roll with it. But most of all, I cannot wait to read the new and upcoming books that await to be read by all bookworms.
So what are your resolutions?
After all these are just the resolutions of the Yorkshire Bookworm,
Till next time,
