Book review, no spoilers I swear!!
Hello! I've finally gotten round to reading Get a Life, Chloe Brown. A book that I've heard a lot about and a book series that I was very interested in reading. I enjoyed this book a lot, however I did find it difficult to get through at times. But before I delve deeper, how about I let you read the blurb, find out what it is all about?
Blurb:

Chloe Brown is a chronically ill computer geek with a goal, a plan and a list. After almost - but not quite - dying, she's come up with a list of directives to help her 'Get a Life. Chloe Brown is a chronically ill computer geek with a goal, a plan and a list. After almost - but not quite - dying, she's come up with a list of directives to help her 'Get a Life':
- Enjoy a drunken night out
- Ride a motorbike
- Go camping
- Have meaningless but thoroughly enjoyable sex
- Travel the world with nothing but hand luggage
- And . . . do something bad
But it's not easy being bad, even when you've written out step-by-step guidelines. What Chloe needs is a teacher, and she knows just the man for the job: Redford 'Red' Morgan.
With tattoos and a motorbike, Red is the perfect helper in her mission to rebel, but as they spend more time together, Chloe realises there's much more to him than his tough exterior implies. Soon she's left wanting more from him than she ever expected . . . maybe there's more to life than her list ever imagined?

Thoughts:
I've heard a lot of hype for this book and so my expectations were high. They were somewhat filled. There were things I liked about this book and there were things I didn't really enjoy. What I liked was the HUGE amount of diversity and inclusion of different characters and ethnicity, not only is the main love interests part of a mixed race relationship, but they also don't fill in there stereotypes.
I however, didn't understand the hype of this book. It's a good book, I'm not saying its not. It's just not as spectacular as I was expecting, but maybe that's my fault for having them too high?
I did enjoy the concept and the build up of sexual tension between the love interests concerning there singleton and previous relationships. Delving into Red's past and Chloe's uniqueness made me love them as characters. I did find some scenes cringe and some of the 'love language' hard to read but I did enjoy the book as whole and look forward to reading the rest of the Brown books in the series.
Rating: 3* out of 5
After all tomorrow is another day spent reading.
Till next time,
