Blog Tour!
Hello lovelies! If this is your first time here welcome! If not welcome back, today is my turn on the Autumn Skies Over Ruby Falls blog tour and I am so excited to be finally sharing this beautiful book with you all! I would firstly like to say a special thank you to Holly Martin for asking me to be apart of the blog tour and to read this book in exchange for my honest opinion.
Before I continue to talk about my thoughts perhaps I should let your read the blurb, give you an idea of what its about...

The Blurb:
Get swept away to the sparkling Cornish coast with the stunning new novel from bestselling author Holly Martin. Autumn Skies Over Ruby Falls is the perfect romantic treat to snuggle up with this autumn.
Clover Philips is exactly where she’s meant to be – back home on Jewel Island teaching dance to the guests at the beautiful Sapphire Bay Hotel that she co-owns with her sisters Skye and Aria. Her life is complete, except for one thing…
When Clover left London she also left behind a devastating betrayal. She hasn’t been able to date anyone since, let alone allow herself to fall in love. What she needs is a casual fling to ease herself back into romance. And as luck would have it, the very handsome Angel Mazzeo is back in town.
The chemistry between Clover and Angel has been undeniable ever since Angel first arrived on Jewel Island six months ago. And though content to be her friend till now, Angel is more than willing to help Clover find her dating feet again.
It should be easy to keep things carefree when love is off the table, but when every moment is magical what started as casual soon becomes something much deeper. Will Clover and Angel find the courage to tell each other how they really feel? And is Clover ready to do the one thing she swore she’d never do again, fall in love?
Perfect for fans of Jill Mansell, Sarah Morgan and Sophie Kinsella, this unforgettable romance is guaranteed to make you smile and melt your heart.
Thoughts:
If you didn't already know, Autumn Skies is the next instalment to the Jewel Island series of books Holly Martin is writing with the first instalment being Sunrise Over Sapphire Bay which follows the love story of Noah and Aria. So if you haven't checked out that book yet then go ahead!! However, having read Autumn Skies I can confirm that you do not need to have had read the previous book to follow the story in this one as Martin does a grand job at summarising what happened previously. But saying that I would encourage you to read Sunrise as it is a proper feel-good summer read.
Anyway back to Autumn Skies!
I loved, loved, loved!!!!! This book!!! It was honestly such a joy of a book that I found engaging, funny, sweet, romantic, all together it was a big warm hug which I was in dire need of. You can always count on Holly Martin to write a book that leaves you with a smile on your face and feeling warm inside, her books have the ability to make you believe in love, friendship and most of all people.
Autumn Skies focuses on the Philips' sister, Clover, and her budding relationship with Angel. I mean I thought that the relationship between Noah and Aria was swoon-worthy but I am telling you now I swooned so much reading about Clover and Angel. Get yourself comfy guys, for you might want to be seated comfortably for this book as it swoons big.
Clover is only looking for an autumn fling so she can get her confidence back and be able to date a man again after having a painful past with a man. Angel is sweet and his friendship with Clover is easy-going and the two of them certainly have some chemistry that is worth exploring. And I mean, Angel is a bloody dreamboat, handsome, funny, sweet and he listens, he cares and he is perfect for Clover in every way but Clover isn't looking for a forever romance, and Angel has a habit of moving away a lot, he likes to travel the world.
Angel is understanding and if anything this made me fall in love with his character all the more, he's gentle with Clover and the romantic scenes of the two of them including the more steamy scenes demonstrate what a safe, healthy relationship should look like. Holly Martin writes sex scenes in a healthy and safe way which I believe should be seen more in books as young people will read this book and realise that this is how sex should be, it should be comfortable and safe. Not pressured and dangerous. Martin writes beautifully with her characters all having flaws and plenty of sides and characteristics to them instead of them being one sided. In doing so, Martin writes in a way that is fun and engaging with relatable scenarios but is also not afraid to talk about other issues such as abusive relationships, loss and fears.
Autumn Skies takes place during Halloween Week and I loved the setting and activities that were throughout this book. It made me want to pack up and go to Jewel Island and experience these festivities for myself. It made me laugh, smile and more importantly, it made me not want to leave! I was so sad to leave this book but the ending was everything with the promise of more from the sisters and Jewel Island.
The characters, the scenery, the story line was pure escapism with plenty of laughs and love throughout. The return to Jewel Island was everything and yet more than I expected with the continuation of recurring characters making an impact to the story. I truly loved this book and its one of those books that I must have in paperback on my shelf because I cannot imagine not being able to return to the story whenever I like.
Overall I loved this book and I really encourage you to check it out. Its a fun, easy read that is perfect escapism. Again I would like to say thank you for the copy of this book in exchange for an honest review. All my opinions are my own.
