A Park like no other.
A Walk in Wildflower Park by Bella Osborne.
No spoilers I swear!
"Life's not always a walk in the park..." Damn right it isn't!
I read this book last month and I still think about it. Like most books I read the blurb before buying it and found the plot intriguing, not only that but the fact that it also recommended that any fans of Milly Johnson and Jill Mansell will love the book. Well I'm a die hard fan of Jill Mansell so it was a done deal really, I bought the book discarding the pile of unread books in my room. I'll get round to reading them one day...
The story follows Anna who was convinced she met 'The One' until he left. Anna moves closer to her friend, Sophie, at Wildflower park, a private park for the people who live in the houses and flats surrounding it. Getting her life and career back on track becomes her main focus until a very handsome American colleague turns up to undermine Anna at every turn, if that isn't enough, Anna receives a mysterious text from a mysterious man leading her down a road of an unlikely romance.
Osborne's storytelling is wonderful and unexpected with plenty of twists and turns along the way. The twists are shockingly brilliant and had me gasping one minute and in tears of laughter the next. This is a cracking book that I think a lot of people will relate to in one way or another with unexpected friendships to family dramas, there is something for everyone in it.
Not only did I enjoy this book, but I found it delightful, funny and refreshing. Furthermore, it made my heart ache for more wishing that there was another page that I didn't see the first time round. This is a perfect read for anyone who needs cheering up or is in need of a good laugh, I encourage all of you who haven't read this book to seek it out as its not to be missed!
Have you read it yet? What are your thoughts? I'd love to hear them, write them in the comments.
After all tomorrow is another day spent reading!
